The varsity team battled in the El Dorado Invitational which is one of the top opening weekend high school tournaments in all of California, and the Frosh-Soph team got busy at the Frosh-Soph Mater Dei invitational at Mater Dei High School.

The Varsity Mustangs certainly made a strong showing, finishing 3rd as a team in a field of 42 teams and having eight wrestlers finish as medalists.  Abe Ochoa and Andrew Gomez both finished as Champions in hard fought Championship matches, Anthony Garcia placed 3rd, Ryan Jalabi and Alex Orozco finished 6th, Brendan Steinman and Aaron Ojeda finished 7th and Daniel Souza rounded out the Mustang medalists with an 8th place finish.

The Frosh-Soph Mustangs too were very impressive as they finished in the 2nd place spot as a team in  the 12 team dual.  Five of the Mustangs finished as champions. Riley Bunce 5-0 at 106, Tyler Tagayun and Nolan Lohmon both went undefeated at 115, Giovanni Hiderliter 5-0 at 126, Alex Tang 5-0 at 170 and Koorous Vargha 5-0 at 195.  Chris Mehdizadeh and Saajan Jolly were 4-1 and took 2nd and Jacob Jasper was also 4-1 and finished in 3rd.
