Mustangs have strong week in three tournaments

Last week was another solid week for the Mustangs.  On Thursday night, the Mustangs hosted our fourth Empire League Dual against Kennedy High School.  All levels had healthy wins making the Mustangs 4-0 in the Empire League.

On Saturday, the Mustangs again, split up in three directions.  Some of the Varsity team competed in the Laguna Hills Invitational at Laguna Hills High School, others competed in the Six Planets tournament at Valencia High School and the Freshmen traveled to the OC Freshman Championships at Sunny Hills High School.

The Mustangs were strong at Laguna Hills finishing 2nd as a team in the 20 team tournament and had a champion and four strong place winners. Abe Ochoa won the heavy weight championship with a first round pin. Jacob Roehl (132), and Tristan Steinman (145) finished in 2nd place and Killian Gale (138) Nathan Emry (170) and Willie Fuher (106) finished in the 3rd place spot.

All levels were VERY successful at Valencia, with three Champions, two 2nd place finishers, two 4th place winners and two 5th place finishers.
