Las Vegas Holiday Classic

The team left Thursday afternoon for Las Vegas. The team checked into the hotel and then it was off to the Convention Center for a two hour practice. After the first two rounds on Friday morning the Mustangs found themselves in third place just a few team points off from the lead. The third round was not as friendly and the Mustangs dropped out of the top ten.

However, with Chad Adams, Jacob Roehl, Killian Gale, Landon Myers, Nathan Emry and Abe Ochoa all returning the second day the Mustangs were still collecting team points. After a third round lost, Chad Adams won his next 5 matches for a 3rd place finish. Landon Myers took home a 5th place medal and Killian Gale ended the day in 6th. Sophomore Nathan Emry cradled his way into the top 8 and won his final match for a 7th place medal. Along the way the Mustangs collected enough team points for a 7th Place team Score. Well done fellas!

Special thanks to Iron Chef Ray Lugo, who kept the fellas fed. And a special shout out to Natalie Myers, who did all the shopping and cooked 10 pounds of pasta on Thursday night.

Transportation was provided by Craig & Jen Fuher, Tony Garcia, John Gee, and Ray Lugo. Big thanks to Josh Gale, who filled in for the vacationing Coach Ransom.
